SUMMER SIPPERS, SPARKLERS AND STARTERS | $50

What a great way to wind down summer with wines from the most recent VINTAGES release and cool, fresh appetizers to match. Sit down to six fine pairings that you can pick up to celebrate your last days of the season before the cold autumn breezes start to blow.

AN INTRODUCTION TO SCOTCH | $55

A sampling of tonight’s six Scotches will introduce you to the styles of each region of this most distinctive whisky producing country to demonstrate their similarities as well as their differences. For those just learning about Scotch, this is an invaluable class.

WINES OF THE SOUTHERN RHÔNE | $30

As featured in the most recent VINTAGES release, tonight’s products will represent the fine wines of this region. Unlike northern Rhône that restricts its winemakers to Syrah and Viognier, the southern Rhône is more likely to show off a variety of grapes.

Taking the “nouveau” martini to new levels tonight will be about unique flavours and interesting twists. We’ll discuss the template for creating your own flavoured martinis and after sampling the prepared line-up, we’ll work as a team to create one new drink.

This two hour class offers regional focus for an in depth look at wines from a specific wine producing area. Discover the history and the wines of this most popular California wine region as our Product Consultant guides you through a sampling of eight representative wines. All participants will receive a copy of the Discover California Wine Country DVD.

SPEYSIDE SCOTCH | $75

This north-eastern region of Scotland houses the greatest number of distilleries of any of the whisky producing regions of the country. Let our Product Consultant guide you through the many choices and help you understand what makes this part of Scotland unique in the whisky world.

INFUSION OF FLAVOUR | $30

Tonight, our Product Consultant will demonstrate how easy it is to infuse spirits in order to create the flavour (or flavour combination) that is right for you. This is a great way to create signature drinks in your home for the upcoming holiday season.

We’ve all heard of the famous wine and cheese party but frankly the cloyingly rich fats of cheese can often mask the taste of wine. Enter beer. With its cleansing bubbles and refreshing bitterness, beer can cut through the richness of cheese, while the vast array of available flavours in beer can match almost any cheese out there. The cheese for tonight’s class is provided by Far Flung Foods.

The Islands and Islay will be represented tonight. Please join us as our Product Consultant takes you through these islands and the whiskies they produce. Learn what makes them similar and how they differ from the other regions of Scotland.

HOLIDAY COCKTAIL ENTERTAINING | $50

Even if you don’t partake throughout the year, now is the time to bring cocktails into your repertoire. Tonight, we’ll create six distinctive holiday cocktails and pair each with an equally distinctive appetizer from Mezzo Ristorante.
This class includes a food matching segment.

PERFECT PORT PAIRINGS | $75

Joined at the hip are Port and cheese; dessert calls for Port and chocolate. Tonight we’ll bring other food pairings to Port that will offer a whole new outlook on utilizing this luscious drink in your holiday fare. All this as our Product Consultant takes the mystery out of shopping for Port by educating us on the different styles and types available.

COGNAC DEMYSTIFIED | $75

All Cognac is brandy but all brandy is not Cognac. Don’t miss this wonderful evening as our Product Consultant takes the mystery out this preeminent form of brandy while sampling six of these fine products. Each guest will receive a complimentary brandy snifter provided by Sears (Windsor) in order to best enjoy Cognac in the comfort of your home.

From Prosecco to Cava and Cremant to Champagne, we’ll be exploring the world of sparkling wines. And since our motto for food and wine pairing is “when in doubt, sparking wine” we thought it best to include food matches worthy of the upcoming holiday season.
This class includes a food matching segment.
