The popular LCBO Wine Appreciation Series has been redesigned to offer greater flexibility while retaining its comfortable yet informative approach to understanding wine. The Series is divided into three, four-night sessions including Introduction to Wine Appreciation, Wines of the Old World, and Wines of the New World. Whether you’re an interested novice or a seasoned pro looking for a “refresher”, the LCBO’s Wine Appreciation Series is for you.

Developed by Food & Drink magazine’s “Matchmaker”, Michael Fagan, and led by our team of expert Product Consultants, the Series takes you on a voyage of discovery. You’ll explore all aspects of wine appreciation, winemaking, food and wine matches and a first-hand look at wine producing countries, regions and grape varieties. Through practical tastings you’ll be exposed to the diverse range of styles, flavours and nuances that today’s fine wines offer.

The Wine Appreciation Series classes are offered at the following LCBO store locations and require pre-registration for participation.
